1. Ripley Scroll

This is a book by the 15th century English alchemist, Sir George Ripley and still mysterious centuries later and countless interpretations. Believed to have some ingredients of immortality and still baffles modern scientists yet to crack all his knowledge. Ripley is believed to have been knowledgeable more than he was ever credited for, as current developments in science shows. Weird read for those who cherish mysteries with likelihood of realism.
2. Nostradamus Book of Prophecies
M. Michael de Nostradame Prophecies are one of the most published in all the centuries since they became known in 1555AD. Simply, they are quatrains or weird collection of verses with future events evenly predicted, right from 1556. There have been thousands of people and countless words written trying to explain the prophetic writings of Nostradamus but no one is yet to understand them, as was the case in 1555. It’s a strange and weird read.
3. Codex Seraphinianus

A strange book filled with colorful images as much as they are hard to decipher but very believable. It is about 360 pages and almost written entirely in cipher or code text. The book whose code is yet to be cracked tries to depict the similarity of life in a parallel planet, an imaginative masterpiece challenging human perception and natural instincts. It is a rare find, costs a minimum of $500 and authored by Luigi Serafini about 1978.

If you thought mythical creatures wee not real, try Konrad Lykosthenes assemble of the weirdest strange creatures believed to have roamed the globe would surprise you. While most are simply non-existence, those known to be existent or extinct by now are accurately described. Written in 1557, Basel, it has the Mauritian Dodo, now an extinct bird in a clear image, yet the first journey to Mauritius in history books was 40 years (1598) after Konrad assemble was published!
5. Egyptian Book of the Dead

The book would be well represented by its correct title “The Spells of Going Forth by Day”, full of writings and incantations in form of guides, spells and songs placed with a dead person to help them in the other world as they strived for immortality. The expectation was usage and not benefitting from the ethereal power inherent. It might be a part of history now since only scrolls representing its contents are in existent.
