Let us now discuss the “10 best kung Fu Movies of All Time”:
No. 10 we have “ONG-BAK”. Not Kungfu but worth to be in Top 10! Released in 2003 it tells a story about a sacred Buddha statuette called Ong-Bak which is stolen and sold for its outrageous profits by a businessman. The task of recovery of the religious artefact is taken on voluntarily by a young man named Boonting who uses his lightning fast Thai skills to combat his enemies. The movie enjoys a rating of 7.2 on IMDB and is rated R for strong violence and sexuality.

No. 9 is the “LEGEND OF THE DRUNKEN MASTER”. Released in 1994 the movie is about Wong Fei-Hong (played by legendary Jackie Chan) who is caught between the fight between the foreigners who wished to export ancient Chinese artefacts and natives who did not want the pieces to leave the country. Fei-Hong learns the art of “drunken boxing” and fights against the foreigners in order to save the Chinese heritage and also to win his father’s praise. Rated 7.6 on IMDB and is Rated R for violence.

No. 8 holds the “KUNG FU HUSTLE” rated 7.7 on IMDB the movie is about a boy named Sing who wants to be part of a local gang called AXE GANG. On his quest he encounters a slum lord who is in turn the world’s greatest Kung Fu master. Sing learns the art of Kung Fu and later his actions results in a fight for supremacy between the axe gang and the slumlords. Movie is rated R for strong action and violence.

No. 7 it’s the 1993 release “IRON MONKEY” with rating 7.6 on IMDB tells the story of bandit named as iron monkey who robbed from the corrupt officials of an ancient Chinese village. The governor’s task force when fail to find the bandit a physician is called upon for the cause but after the arrival of the evil monk t, both the physician and the iron monkey work together to bring down the corrupt government. The action flick is rated PG-13 for martial arts violence.

No. 6 spot goes to the “HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGER” released in 2004 portrays the time of the Tang dynasty when a secret organization rose to oppose the government. Police chief Leo sends office Jin to investigate, Mei a young dancer who is claimed to have links to that secret organisation. Latter when Mei is arrested by Leo , Jin breaks her free in a plot to gain her trust so that she can lead the police to the new leader of the deadly flying daggers but things takes a turn when Jin falls in love with the lovely dancer.

No. 5 On the half way mark is the Jet Li film released in 2002, rated 8.0 by IMDB; “HERO” tells the story of an official who shatters the plot of assassination and defeats the three of the most dangerous enemies of the ruler of the kingdom. The movie is one of the famous works of Jet Li and is rated PG-13 for martial arts violence.

No. 4 Spot goes to the “GAME OF DEATH” when Kung Fu master Billy-Lo (played by the legendary Bruce Lee) survives an attempted murder and then goes in to hiding waiting for his revenge. The movie ha d to use doubles due to Lee’s death and the funeral scene of Billy-Lo faking his death was the actual scene from Bruce Lee’s funeral.

No. 3 One of Bruce Lee’s best works “Fist of Fury” released in 1971 which tells the story of a young Chinese kid who works at an ice factory with is cousin with a promise made to his family of never getting in to a fight, but when his family members in the factory starts to disappear mysteriously he must break his vow to tackle the villains himself.

No. 2 Jet Li’s 2006 release “Fearless”. The movie release in 2006 tells the story of a martial arts fighter Huo who faces personal tragedy in the form of slaughter of his family due to his own fault and acts of pride but eventually comes out of the darkness and signifies the true sprits of the Kung Fu martial arts and becomes a hero.

No. 1 1973 martial arts hit “ENTER THE DRAGON”. One of Lee’s best pictures to date the movie revolves around the a martial arts specialist who agrees to spy on HAN, an opium trader by business by entering his martial arts tournament. Rated 7.6 on IMDB did a $90,000,000 business worldwide; and even after 25 years of its release it still remains the landmark in martial arts films.
