While scholars and theologians will no doubt continue the debate for generations to come, the existence of ghosts has been well documented for many centuries.
Some of the most interesting ghosts to have been reported are those with erotic tendencies. The spirit of a woman with a thirst for sexual activity is a succubus. Her male counterpart is an incubus. It is believed that these people had very active sex lives before making their transitions.
Some stories about sleeping and waking sexual experiences with ghosts are recounted as dreams; others, real encounters that leave the human participant in a total and complete quandary.
Imagine finding yourself in a romantic entanglement with a being that is albeit real, but not actually a living breathing human. Would you/could you fall in love with a ghost? Would you tell your friends? Would it drive you crazy, or would you rush home every day and wait anxiously for the next visit?
How would you respond to a friend or family member who said they had been visited by a ghost with whom they made mad passionate love for hours? Would you believe them; ask them about every titillating detail, or would you recommend that they immediately go for a psychiatric evaluation?
Erotic encounters with male [incubus] and female [succubus] ghosts are not only real, they happen quite frequently. So, the next time you hear about a wild sexual encounter with a ghost, don’t be too quick to brush it off as a hallucination or dream.
